Unit of Inquiry updates

This week we started a new unit. It was about culture, and the theme was 'How we express ourselves'. We had to write questions on what we had about culture and write what we thought culture is. We also had to read books and write what we read, and we had to write in a thinking routine called Peel the Fruit. We had to connect the questions in the book or text to the world so we had so we were divided into groups one was a blue group, and brown group and a yellow group pink group we had to right the unit cultures .and then we had to modify our questions.
English updates

In English, this week we wrote two stories. One of them was about our vacation in nine days and in the other, we had to look at an animated picture and write a story on the picture. We also did guided reading and word sorting.
Maths updates

In maths, we were separated into two groups based on our understanding. One group is with Ms Vidhya and one group is with Ms Lavanya. In Ms Lavanya's group, we are learning how to identify certain number factors (multiplication factors). In Ms Vidhya’s group, we are learning about subtraction mostly using the bar method. We just moved into practice sheets to get a bigger and better understanding. People say maths is the worst, in this case, it is super fun.
Hindi updates

This week in Hindi, we wrote about the important things about a train. Then we used
Visible thinking routine for the sentences about the train. Ms Meena read a
Story and connection about it. We borrowed Hindi books for reading to get better.
Telugu updates

This week in Telugu the people who were in the guninthalu group had to write guninthalu. The people who were in stories had to write stories. On Monday we are going to watch a play, adventures of Chinari, we have to give Rs.200 to go to the play.

Art updates

This week we learned about how to build sculptures and we had to make sculptures with ires so firstly we started with planning and drawing a stick figure. Then we started making the sculpture and then we started raping the foam with tape so that the sculpture will have the body. And this was a very interesting art.
Music updates

This week we were learning a song on the piano and we were learning a whisper song for the concert. we learnt how the song rhythm goes and where the middle c is in the piano.
